Play Therapy

No child needs to be ‘fixed’. Every child desires to be heard and deserves to be met where they are, as we walk with them through their experiences.

Why Play?

‘Play’ is the native language of children and it is a window into how they view the world. Using therapeutic play-based approaches,

I meet your child where they are.

Play therapy integrates play based approaches that lead to therapeutic processing and healing. Through play children are able to increase emotional and behavior regulation skills, gain problem solving capabilities, and increase their ability to effectively communicate their thoughts and needs to others. When we engage in purposeful play, we show our children that we are willing to listen.

Play therapy covers a variety of concerns including but not limited to:

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Behavior Regulation

  • Anxiety

  • Self-Esteem

  • Changes in Family System: Separation and Divorce, New School, New home, etc.

  • Sibling Conflict

  • Loss and Grief

Play therapy, just like any other form, is not a one size fits all model. It is crafted to fit the need of the child.
